The 1.06 quart / 1 litre clear bottles come pre-filled with fuel, with "WILTEEXS", "BIO ETHANOL" and a burning flame image printed in blue and white on the front, and "X004IQ9ZCH" printed below the barcode on the back.
The bottles violate the federal safety standard for portable fuel containers because they lack the flame mitigation devices required by the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, posing a deadly risk of flash fire. They also fail the federal safety regulation on deceptive disclaimers under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act because they claim the contents are "Non Toxic". The CPSC notice states that no injuries or incidents have been reported.
About 1,100 units were sold on Amazon from April 2025 through July 2025 for about $17.
Consumers should immediately stop using the bottles, place them out of reach of children and contact Wilteexs for a full refund. They will be asked to write "Do not use" and the Amazon order number on the bottle in permanent marker and email a photo to [email protected], then dispose of the bottles per local and state regulations.
