About 11,275 units were sold through Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and www.fireflyfuel.com between August 2019 and May 2025 for approximately $20 each.

Hydrocarbon fuel must be stored in child-resistant packaging by law. The recalled bottles include a nozzle applicator that is not child-resistant. If used instead of the required child-resistant closure, this applicator creates a serious poisoning hazard. Hydrocarbons can enter the lungs and cause chemical pneumonia and pulmonary damage, which can be fatal. Additionally, the product is incorrectly labeled as 'Non-Toxic,' violating labeling requirements.

No injuries have been reported to date. Consumers should immediately remove the nozzle applicator and reinstall the child-resistant closure that came with the product.
