Plain-English summary
Harbor Freight Tools is recalling the Predator 2000-Watt Power Station (SKU #70084, UPC 193175488718). The portable generators, which run on a lithium-ion phosphate battery and can power up to 11 devices at once, are affected by a defect in which the wires in the AC outlet receptacles are reversed when the product is in Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode. This reversed-wire condition poses a shock hazard to consumers operating the power station.
The firm has received one report of the wires being reversed in EPS mode, though no injuries have been reported. Approximately 6,500 units were sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide from February 2025 through April 2025, priced at approximately $950 each.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power stations. The units may be returned to a local Harbor Freight Tools store for a free replacement unit. Harbor Freight Tools is contacting all known purchasers directly. For more information, consumers may contact Harbor Freight Tools toll-free at 800-444-3353 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, email [email protected], or visit their customer service website.
