The recalled gates are pressure-mounted expansion gates made of steel and ABS plastic, available in white and black, with four different configurations. Model number W046 appears on each unit's tracking label.

The gates violate federal safety regulations for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. In versions with a pet door, a child's torso can fit through the secondary opening. In adjustable versions without a pet door, a child's torso can fit through the opening between the gate slat and side wall. These violations create an entrapment hazard to children. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

Consumers should stop using the recalled gates immediately.
