The units' serial plates can display incorrect electrical ratings, which can result in incorrect wiring being used during installation or repair, creating a fire hazard. No injuries have been reported.

The units were sold by heating and cooling equipment independent dealers nationwide between January 2024 and March 2024 for between $4,500 to $7,500. Consumers can verify if their unit is affected by checking the model number on the electrical connection side of the outside panel, or by visiting www.goodmanmfg.com/package-recall.

Consumers should not attempt to open the outside electrical panel and should immediately contact Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing L.P. for a free repair and inspection.
