The recalled units were sold in black or cinnamon colors and were distributed nationwide through retail stores including Target, Walmart, and Kohls, as well as online, between August 2021 and October 2023.

The plastic U-Channel connector used to optionally combine the two food baskets can break during use, creating a burn hazard. Empower Brands has received 41 reports of the product breaking during use, including three reports of burns.
