The rolling cylinder can separate from the toy, exposing the wooden balls inside and creating a choking hazard for children. Monti Kids has received 145 reports of the cylinder separating. No injuries have been reported.
The affected toys were sold online at Montikids.com from April 2021 through January 2022 as part of a subscription box priced at about $300. The toys carry lot numbers 0D41 and 1A41, marked on the underside of the handle.
Consumers should immediately remove the toy from children, dispose of it in the trash, and contact Monti Kids for a $40 refund. The company is contacting all known purchasers directly.
