Dollar Tree Recalls 1 Million Crafter's Square Hot Glue Guns for Fire and Burn Hazards

Dollar Tree is recalling about 1,025,000 Crafter's Square hot glue guns sold nationwide that can malfunction when plugged in, posing fire and burn hazards. Seven electrical malfunctions have been reported, including four fires and one skin irritation.

Dollar Tree is recalling approximately 1,025,000 Crafter's Square hot glue guns due to a malfunction hazard when the product is plugged in. The glue guns are black plastic with an orange trigger and tip and bear a silver UL listed label above the handle marked "GLUE GUN" and "XY-15302."

The glue guns can malfunction when plugged into an outlet, posing fire and burn hazards. Dollar Tree has received seven reports of electrical malfunctions during use, including four reports of fire and one report of skin irritation.

The recalled units were sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide from August 2020 through February 2022, Family Dollar stores nationwide from January 2022 through February 2022, and online at www.dollartree.com from August 2021 through February 2022 for approximately $1. Additionally, about 21,900 units were sold in Canada.

Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the Crafter's Square Glue Gun and return it to any Dollar Tree or Family Dollar store for a full refund.
