Dollar Tree Stores Inc. is recalling approximately 253,000 Crafters Square Hot Melt Mini Glue Guns. The recalled products are black with a yellow trigger, measure approximately 4 1/2 inches in length, and feature a 44-inch electrical cord. The packaging displays the "Crafters Square" brand name and product number 818261-72 or 818261-75. These glue guns were manufactured in China by Greenbrier International Inc. and sold for about $1 at Dollar Tree, Dollar Bill$, Dollar Express, Greenbacks, Only One $1, and Deal$ stores nationwide from February 2007 through August 2007.

The recall is issued because the glue guns can short circuit, causing the device to smoke and catch fire. This malfunction poses fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards to consumers. Dollar Tree is aware of seven incidents where the glue guns short-circuited, resulting in two injuries, including electrical shock and burns.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled glue guns. They should return the product to the store where it was purchased to receive a full refund.
