Family Dollar Services, Inc. is recalling approximately 280,000 units of 200 Mini Light sets. The recalled products are identified by SKU # 2211428 and UPC # 049696720465 on the back of the red package, which also displays "200 Mini Lights" and "Multi Lights, Green Wire." The power cord tag includes UL Listing # E346525 and Model # F0L200A4S.
The light sets do not meet the UL standard for this product, creating a risk of fire and electrical shock. There were three reports of overheating, but no injuries or property damage have been reported.
The products were sold at Family Dollar stores from September 2011 through December 2011 for $8. Consumers should immediately stop using the light sets and return them to a Family Dollar store for a full refund.
