An additional 37 units were sold in Canada. The affected models include the Outlander 450, Outlander 570, Outlander DPS 450, Outlander DPS 570, Outlander XMR 850, Outlander XMR 1000R, Outlander XT 570, Outlander XXC 1000R, and Renegade XMR 1000R. These vehicles were sold at Can-Am dealers nationwide between October 2020 and November 2020 for prices ranging from $8,500 to $15,000.
The recall is due to a hazard where a rear wheel can separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and posing a crash risk to consumers. BRP has received two reports of rear wheels coming loose and falling off the vehicles. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact a BRP Can-Am ATV dealer to arrange a free repair. BRP is also contacting all known purchasers directly.
