The recalled strollers, available in black, pink, blue, khaki, and gray, were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from January 2019 through March 2020 for about $200. The model number 535-S is printed on a label on the inside of the rear frame, and the brand name Belecoo appears on the frame and shoulder straps.
The strollers violate the federal Carriages and Strollers standard. The design allows a child's torso to pass through the opening between the activity tray and the seat bottom, where the head can become entrapped, creating entrapment and strangulation hazards. Additionally, the location of the crotch restraint creates a large opening that can detach, posing a fall hazard. No injuries have been reported.
