Costway Inc. is recalling about 16,000 double baby strollers, including models BB4476, BB4613, and BB4690. The recalled strollers violate the Federal Standard for Carriages and Strollers. The design allows a child's torso to pass through the opening between the activity tray and the seat bottom, creating entrapment and strangulation hazards. Additionally, the location of the crotch restraint creates a large opening between the seat bottom and the restraint, posing a fall hazard.
The strollers were sold online at www.costway.com and www.amazon.com from May 2016 through December 2019 for about $100. A tag on the stroller seat reads: MADE FOR GOPLUS CORP 11250 POPLAR AVE. FONTANA, CA 92337. The models are available in red, gray, and black. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled baby strollers.
