Interline Brands, Inc., of Jacksonville, Fla, is recalling certain ProPlus Brass Flare Swivel Fittings. The fittings are brass, gold-colored connectors used to join two male flare nuts opposite each other. They were primarily intended for LP gas (propane) applications by professional installers.

The recalled fittings can leak, which poses a fire hazard. Interline has received two reports of the swivels leaking at installation. No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.

The affected products include multiple sizes of ProPlus Brass Flare Swivel Fittings (model numbers 39-4, 39-6, 39-8, 39-8-6, 39-10, and 39-10-8) manufactured by Zhejiang ACME Pipe Fitting Co., LTD, of China. Approximately 140,000 units were sold through hardware retailers from August 2017 through November 2018 for between $1 and $8.
