The recalled trainers feature a black grip, flexible shaft, and a weighted orange ball. The firm has received 36 reports of the ball detaching from the trainer, but no injuries have been reported. The affected units have a batch number in the range from 772 to 792, which is printed on the inside of the counterweight steel ball attached to the grip end. To read the batch number, the counterweight steel ball must be unscrewed by hand. Model OWT measures 47 inches in length, and Model OWM measures 43 inches in length.
These trainers were sold at Austad Golf, Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, PGA TOUR Superstore, Scheels Sporting Goods, World Wide Golf Shops, and other golf stores nationwide, as well as online at orangewhipgolf.com. The units were sold from November 2017 through February 2018 for about $110. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled golf swing trainers and contact Jimmy Hack Golf to receive a free replacement product.
