The recall is due to a crash hazard caused by the throttle limiter, which can fail if damaged during shipping. Polaris has received nine reports of a damaged throttle limiter, including one report of throttle limiter failure that resulted in minor injuries.

If the limiter is damaged, consumers can schedule a free repair.
