Natureplex LLC is recalling approximately 74,000 tubes of Well at Walgreens pain and itch relief cream. The recall is due to the product's failure to meet the child-resistant closure requirements of the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The cream contains 4% lidocaine, which poses a risk of poisoning to young children if accessed.
The recalled product is an orange tube with a purple stripe, labeled "Maximum Strength" and "Pain and Itch Relief Cream 4% Lidocaine." It was sold at Walgreens stores nationwide and online from March 2017 through November 2017 for about $7. No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
