Approximately 175,000 units were sold in the United States.

The recall was issued because the "Slider Bracelet" included in the jewelry making kit contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

The products were sold at Kmart, Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target from August 2015 through April 2016. The Ultimate Gem Machine was sold for $30, and the Gem Charm and Slider Bracelets were sold for $10. Consumers should immediately take these recalled products away from children and contact LaRose Industries for instructions to receive a full refund.
