The toys contain lead and phthalates at levels exceeding federal limits. These substances are toxic if ingested by young children. Additionally, the toys fail to meet mandatory safety standards because they lack required short circuit protection for battery-operated devices.

Consumers should stop using the toys immediately and take them away from children. For the animal-shaped toy, consumers should write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the unit and email a photo to [email protected] to receive a free replacement toy of at least equal value. For the rectangular toy, consumers should cut the USB cable and email a photo of the cut cable to [email protected] to receive a free replacement USB cable.

Dispose of the recalled toys and cut USB cables according to local waste disposal requirements. Note that button cell batteries are hazardous and should be recycled or disposed of following local hazardous waste procedures.
