Plain-English summary

North Central Industries Inc. is recalling approximately 2,600 units of Great Grizzly brand California Candle fireworks fountains. The recalled products are hand-held fireworks that make crackling noises and display flowering tulips, blue pearls, and gold showers. Each candle is approximately 2 inches in diameter and 30 inches long and was sold in packs of three with specific labels including "Glow Beam," "Dazzling Diamonds," and "Touch of Sparkle."

The recall is due to a hazard where the rear plug of the candle can dislodge while the firework is lit. This poses burn and fire hazards to the user if they are holding the device. North Central Industries has received six reports of the rear plug dislodging, resulting in burn injuries to the persons holding the devices. No reports of property damage have been received.

The fireworks were sold from May 2015 through June 2015 for between $15 and $25 at various retailers in Oregon, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fireworks and contact North Central Industries for a full refund.
