What this means for you

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product (burn injury) where injury has not yet been reported, which aligns with the High severity criteria in the rubric.
Plain-English summary
M&M's World is recalling approximately 19,000 units of youth loungewear pants due to a violation of federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear. The recalled pants, manufactured in China, were sold in two prints: an allover boxed M&M's character print and an allover M&M's candy print. Both styles are 100% cotton and were available in youth sizes small through XL.
The recalled garments have a label sewn inside the waistband with a product identification number that includes the last four digits as the date of manufacture in MMYY format. Consumers should check for identification numbers ending in 0711, 0212, 1112, 0313, 0413, or 0713. These pants were sold at M&M's World stores nationwide from July 2011 through November 2014 for about $22.
The pants pose a risk of burn injury to children because they do not meet the required flammability standards. No injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately take the recalled pants away from children, stop using them, and return them to M&M's World for a full refund.
