Zazou Scarves, of Berkeley, Calif., is recalling about 3,800 women's sheer 100% silk scarves. The scarves, which measure 72 inches long by 20 inches wide, were sold in 20 different solid colors. They were sold at specialty boutiques nationwide and online at www.zazou.com and other websites from August 2012 through August 2014 for about $30. The scarves were manufactured in China.

The recall is being conducted because the scarves fail to meet the federal flammability standard for wearing apparel. This defect poses a risk of burn injury to consumers. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has not reported any injuries associated with the recalled scarves.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled scarves. To obtain a full refund, consumers should contact Zazou Scarves at (800) 472-2783 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit www.zazou.com and click on “Recall.” The firm is providing a pre-paid postage label for shipping the scarves back.
