The recall is due to a choking hazard, as the stuffed animals' eyes can detach. The firm has received six reports of eyes detaching from the toys, but no injuries have been reported. The toys are labeled for ages 3 and older.

Approximately 8,200 units were sold at gift, drug, and toy stores, including hospitals, museums, and gift shops nationwide, from December 2013 through January 2014 for about $8 to $10. Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact Ganz for a free replacement product of equivalent value or a full refund.
