Playtex Products Inc. is recalling approximately 1.25 million pacifier holder clips sold in the U.S. and 150,000 in Canada. The recalled clips are plastic devices used to attach pacifiers to items such as clothing, diaper bags, and strollers. They were sold in green with a monkey figure, pink with a flower, and blue with a tow truck. The products were sold at Walmart, other major retailers, juvenile product, baby, and discount stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, from July 2010 through October 2013 for about $3.

The recall was issued because the pacifier holder clips can crack, causing a small part to break off. This poses a choking hazard to small children. Playtex has received 99 reports of the holder cracking or breaking, but no injuries have been reported.
