The recall involves 42-inch and 48-inch models manufactured between October 2012 and May 2013. These units were sold at appliance and specialty stores nationwide for between $5,400 and $6,400.

The electrical connectors in the refrigerator freezer wiring harness can overheat, posing a fire hazard. Viking has received 27 reports of electrical shorts and four fires. No injuries have been reported.
