Plain-English summary
The Land of Nod is recalling approximately 2,500 plush handmade baby dolls in five styles and colors. The all-fabric dolls measure about 12 inches tall and 10 inches wide and are dressed in a one-piece printed floral fabric outfit with a white lace-trimmed hood. The specific styles and colors included in the recall are Clara (Yellow), Eleanor (Light Blue), Hannah (Cream), Lila (Dark Blue), and Rose (Red). The SKU number is printed on a sewn-in label attached to the right leg of the doll and on a hang tag fastened to the right arm.
The recall was issued because the hands on the plush dolls can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The firm has received one report of a doll hand detaching and three reports of doll hands loosening. No injuries have been reported.
The dolls were sold at The Land of Nod stores and online at www.landofnod.com from October 2012 to March 2013 for about $30. Consumers should immediately take the recalled dolls away from children and return them to The Land of Nod for a full merchandise credit.
