The affected units are models UT42120 and UT42120A, which were sold exclusively at Home Depot stores and online from February 2012 through December 2012 for about $40. The vacuums are red and black with "Homelite BlowerVac 2 Speed Powerful 220 MPH" printed on the side of the motor housing and on the black plastic blower tube.

The recall is due to a laceration hazard. Objects drawn into the unit during vacuum mode can break through the plastic housing. Homelite has received one report of an incident involving the recalled blower vacuums, but no injuries have been reported.
