The recalled product is part of the Department 56 Original Snow Village collection and features a ceramic diner building with interior and exterior lighting. The hazard exists because the power adapter used to light the exterior can overheat and melt its plastic housing.

The recall includes diners with date codes 03 12 JP01 or 05 12 JP01 stamped on the bottom. These items were sold at holiday stores, gift shops, and online at amazon.com from July 2012 through September 2012 for approximately $120. Enesco has received two reports of power adapters partially melting due to overheating, but no injuries or property damage have been reported.
