About 1,200 units were sold in the United States and 50 in Canada between June 2010 and September 2012 for approximately $2,200. Consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled gas fireplace inserts. They should then check the model and serial numbers on the metal rating plate inside the bottom front panel to verify if their unit is affected. Affected consumers can contact the store where purchased or Jotul directly to schedule a free repair.
