Triple Eight Distribution, Inc. is recalling approximately 30,400 multi-purpose bicycle helmets for children and youth. The recall includes Little Tricky helmets in black, white, pink, and green, as well as Triple Eight and Sector 9 S/M EPS Liner helmets in various colors. These helmets were sold at bicycle and sports stores and online nationwide from August 2006 through November 2011 for about $40.
Product testing demonstrated that the recalled helmets do not comply with CPSC safety standards for impact resistance. As a result, consumers could suffer impact head injuries in a fall. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
