C. O. Lynch Enterprises, Inc. is recalling approximately 5,200 Itasca Fusion Hiker men's boots, sizes 7 to 14. The boots are black with leather and nylon uppers and a thermoplastic rubber outsole. The model name "Fusion," style number 45513, and order numbers 22215, 22216, or 22217 are printed on a label on the underside of the tongue. The word "Itasca" and the Itasca logo are embossed on the top of the tongue and imprinted on the removable insole. A tag on the outside of the shoe is printed with "Steel Toe."

The boots are being recalled because they could fail to provide the intended protection against compression and impact, posing a risk of foot injury. The boots contain hard composite toe material rather than steel. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled boots were sold at Big 5 Sporting Goods Stores between March 2011 and June 2011 for about $50. Consumers should stop wearing the recalled boots immediately and return them to C. O.
