The hazard exists because the lifting loop can slide off the side of the blind, allowing a child's neck to become entangled in the free-standing loop. Additionally, a child could place their neck between the lifting loop and the roll-up blind material. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that no injuries have been associated with this recall.

Consumers should immediately stop using the roll-up blinds and return the product to the nearest Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores for a full refund.
