Four Star Group USA Inc. is recalling approximately 13,000 units of Fresh Décor 10-Count LED Star String Lights. The recalled lights consist of a string of 10 LED bulbs, each covered with a clear, star shape. The product was sold exclusively at Safeway stores nationwide, including Carrs, Dominick's, Genuardi's, Pak'n Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, and Vons, from October 2008 through December 2008 for about $7. The lights were manufactured in China.

The recall is due to a fire hazard. The electrical wiring in the lights can overheat. The firm has received two reports of the recalled lights smoking and/or melting. No injuries have been reported.
