Havaianas Children's Flip Flops Recalled for Lead in Paint

The recall was issued because the decorative paint on the soles of these flip flops can contain levels of lead that exceed the federal standard. The products were sold at department and specialty stores nationwide from November 2006 through February 2009 for approximately $15 to $24 per pair. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled flip flops away from children. To receive a replacement, consumers should return the products to Alpargatas USA, Inc.
