The company has received five reports of the grill igniting or flaring up, including two reports of minor burns. The grills were sold from May 2007 through August 2007 for about $100 through QVC's television, web, and stores, as well as Tristar's website and direct response television.

Consumers should immediately stop using cooking oils on the grill prior to preheating and should not use cooking sprays at any time. QVC and Tristar are sending revised instruction manuals with warnings to consumers who purchased the product directly.
