Plain-English summary
Fisher Controls International (FCI) of McKinney, Texas, is recalling approximately 144,000 Model HSR natural gas regulators and various models of LP-gas regulators. The recall was issued because gas can leak from a regulator's flanges when flange screw heads break. This leak poses a fire or explosion hazard to consumers. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Dealers and utilities that purchased and installed the recalled regulators have been notified and instructed to replace them. These companies will contact affected consumers. Consumers who have not been contacted and wish to determine if they have a recalled regulator should call their gas supplier directly.
