The recall involves warmers with product codes ranging from YD0629 through YD0652 and YD0701 through YD0708. These units measure about 4 ¾ inches in diameter, feature a black heating plate and white plastic surrounding area, and are marked with "Provo Craft & Novelty Candle Warmer Air Freshener Model: WCY-8888" on the underside.

The internal heating element of the candle warmer can detach and melt the bottom of its plastic casing. This can ignite or scorch the surface on which the warmer is placed. Provo Craft has received 11 reports of incidents where the heating elements detached, including two fires, nine incidents of property scorching, and one report of a consumer with a blistered finger.

The warmers were sold at Wal-Mart and other retailers nationwide from August 2006 through October 2007 for between $5 and $10. Consumers should contact Provo Craft at (888) 306-0132 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.provocraft.com, to receive a voucher worth 120 percent of the purchase price, redeemable at www.creativexpress.com.
