The recall involves approximately 1,400 units of the Satellite A100, Satellite A105, and Tecra A7 models. These batteries were sold with the computers or separately between January 2006 and April 2006.

The recalled batteries can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Toshiba has received three reports from outside the United States of notebook batteries overheating. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
