The affected ATVs were sold nationwide through Bombardier and Can-Am ATV dealers from August 2005 through June 2006 for between $7,900 and $10,400. The vehicles were available in yellow, green, red, and camouflage. Serial numbers are located on the front of the ATV on the identification decal.

Bombardier has received eight reports of fires caused by the rear brake overheating and igniting. These incidents resulted only in property damage to the ATVs, and no injuries have been reported. Consumers should contact their local Bombardier or Can-Am ATV dealer to schedule a free repair. Direct notices are being sent to consumers with the recalled ATVs.
