The recall was issued because the black paint coating on the outside of the candles can ignite, posing a fire hazard. The candles measure about 3 inches in diameter and are available in two heights: 3 inches and 6 inches. Each candle features eight diamond-like ornaments located approximately 1 inch from the bottom edge. The packaging consists of clear plastic wrapping tied with a ribbon, and the bottom label displays "Distributed by Target Corporation" along with the numbers 054 09 1533 or 054 09 2528.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall. Consumers should stop using the candles immediately and return them to the nearest Target store to receive a Target GiftCard worth the value of the returned candle.
