The recall affects green candles in plastic holders purchased after October 26, 2004. Candles purchased prior to this date are not affected.
The recall was initiated because some candles from one production run can burn with a high flame due to contamination. Southern Living At HOME has received one report of a high flame, but there are no reported injuries.
The affected candles were sold by Southern Living At HOME consultants at home parties nationwide from October 26, 2004, through March 1, 2005, for approximately $7. Consumers who purchased the recalled candles will be notified directly by Southern Living At HOME and will receive a free replacement candle set.
