The recall was initiated because the pull-up valve can detach from the cap, creating a choking hazard for young children. The company has received one report of a young child beginning to choke after a pull-up valve detached in her mouth while drinking. These bottle sippers were sold at grocery stores nationwide from January 2002 through August 2005 for about $2 per package.
Consumers should stop using these recalled bottle sippers immediately. They can return the products to the store where purchased for a refund or contact Bradshaw International toll-free at (800) 421-6290 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday.
