The affected bottles are curved-shaped, 22-ounce containers with a separate black screw-top lid. The bottle bodies are available in gray, blue, or yellow and feature a black rubberized grip area on each side. The word "NIKE" is printed on the bottom of the bottle, and the NIKE "Swoosh" logo appears on the cap, bottom, and grip area. These bottles were sold at major sporting goods and department stores nationwide from April 1999 through July 1999 for approximately $7.

Consumers should stop using these bottles immediately. They can return the bottles to the store of purchase for a credit or contact NIKE to receive a redesigned cap. If choosing the replacement cap option, consumers should discard the old cap in the trash.
