RMM Corporation is recalling approximately 30,500 BLACK CAT® Electric Pressure Washers. The recalled units have a black plastic housing with a BLACK CAT® logo on both sides and a silver label indicating "MCM International," "Model TW1800," or "Model BC2200." These pressure washers were sold at Target and Menard's stores between March 2002 and September 2002 for about $145.

The recall is due to a hazard where the electric motor can overheat and melt the housing. This overheating can potentially ignite nearby flammable materials or expose live electrical parts. RMM and the CPSC are aware of fewer than 20 incidents of overheating, including one report of damage to a wooden deck. Many of these incidents occurred when the pressure washer was left running and unattended. No injuries have been reported.
