Schylling Associates Inc. is recalling approximately 300 Bear "Jack-In-the-Box" toys. The multicolor tin toys feature illustrations of bears and play the song "Pop Goes the Weasel" when the crank is turned. A red bead on the crank can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
The toys were sold at specialty stores, gift shops, and book stores nationwide from August 2003 through October 2003 for about $20. "Schylling" is written on the bottom of the toys. Toys with date code stickers on the bottom are not included in the recall.
