The recalled walkers are not designed to stop at the edge of a step and can fit through a standard doorway. According to the CPSC, babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed if they fall down stairs. No injuries have been reported with these specific walkers, and the recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.
Consumers should stop using the recalled walkers immediately. To identify the affected products, check for model number 408 or 423 on a label sewn into the seat. Model 408 features a white and black tray with a black printed fabric base and seat, while Model 423 has a red tray and a purple plastic base. Both models measure about 25 inches by 28 inches and have eight snap-in wheels.
