The recalled products are copper and mica candleholders sold in rectangular and square shapes. The square-shaped candleholder is 8.5 inches tall with evergreen tree cut-outs, while the rectangular-shaped candleholder is 10 inches tall with cut-outs of an evergreen tree, a star, and a moon.
The recall is due to a fire and burn hazard. Flames from the tealight candle can ignite the candleholder. The company received one report of the rectangular-shaped candleholder igniting after a consumer lit the tealight candle. No injuries have been reported.
Approximately 800 units were sold at Coldwater Creek stores nationwide from October 2003 through November 2003 for about $20. Consumers should contact Customer Service toll-free at (800) 262-0040 between 6 a.m. and 3 a.m. ET or visit www.coldwatercreek.com to return the product for a full refund, including postage, and receive a $20 gift card.
