Michaels Stores Inc. is recalling approximately 7,600 Silver Tree Tealight Candle Holders in the United States and 650 in Canada. The recalled products are silver-colored, tree-shaped candle holders approximately 16 inches tall with a silver star on top. They feature nine tealight cups and clear plastic beads hanging from the branches.

The recall is due to a fire hazard. The tealight cups are positioned in a way that allows the candle flame to ignite other parts of the holder. This poses fire and burn hazards to consumers. Michaels has received reports of six incidents, including five fires and one instance of a consumer receiving minor burns.

These candle holders were sold at Michaels Arts & Craft stores nationwide from October 2010 through December 2010 for about $20. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candle holders and return them to any Michaels store for a full refund.
