The recall is due to a fire hazard. The tealight cups are positioned in a way that allows the candle flame to ignite other parts of the holder. This poses fire and burn hazards to consumers. Michaels has received reports of six incidents, including five fires and one instance of a consumer receiving minor burns.

These candle holders were sold at Michaels Arts & Craft stores nationwide from October 2010 through December 2010 for about $20. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candle holders and return them to any Michaels store for a full refund.
