Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary

Target Corporation is recalling approximately 26,000 packages of 'Double Dipp'n Fun' multicolored sidewalk chalk. The product was manufactured by Agglo Corporation of Hong Kong and sold at Target stores from March 2003 to July 2003 for about $1 per package. The chalk is packaged in plastic molded to five triangular sticks with a cardboard backing, featuring three layered colors (green, red, yellow, or blue). This recall does not affect solid color chalk sold in the same packaging.

The Wisconsin Department of Health tested the chalk and identified high levels of lead. The presence of lead poses a risk of poisoning to young children. No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.

Consumers should return the recalled multicolored sidewalk chalk to Target stores for a refund. For more information, consumers can call Target Corporation at (800) 440-0680 between 7 am and 6 pm CT, Monday through Friday, or visit www.target.com.
