What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product (lead poisoning) where injury has not yet been reported, which aligns with the 'High' severity criteria in the rubric.

Plain-English summary

SQT LLC is recalling approximately 1,835 Lontcs Busy Board toys due to a risk of serious injury from lead poisoning. The toys consist of a wood board with various attached components, including a brown zipper. The zipper contains levels of lead that exceed the standard set in the federal lead paint ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

The recalled busy boards were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2024 through July 2026 for about $31. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

Consumers should stop using the busy boards immediately and contact SQT by email at [email protected] for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy the toys by unscrewing its components, writing "RECALLED" on the board in permanent marker, and sending a photo of the destroyed toy to [email protected]. Consumers should then dispose of the destroyed product.
